Data Quest, Ltd. is owned and operated by Russ Bubas, the agency President. Russ' experience includes four years as a Counter-Intelligence Officer serving in the United States and Korea. He then served as Vice President of the Better Service Bureau (New York City), Director of Loss Prevention for R.H. Stearns Company (Boston), and Manager of Investigative Services for the Standard Service Bureau (Boston).

Since its inception in 1981, Russ has built Data Quest from a small, local detective agency to a successful corporate private investigations agency with international capabilities and a client base of over 1,000 companies. Data Quest is headquartered in Boston and maintains a branch office in New York City.

Russ' distinguished career of more than 35 years has earned him the reputation as one of the leading investigative experts in the business. He acts as the LP Director for a number of companies who have found it more successful and cost-effective to outsource their entire Loss Prevention department to him. Russ also provides highly efficient Loss Prevention consultations and seminars to businesses to reduce their shortages and losses.

Russ holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from New York University. He is a long standing member of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) and a frequent contributor to a number of retail and hospitality trade publications.
